How does a session work?
At the first session, a patient file is drawn up in order to assess the patient's general state of health, and this is used to monitor the patient. Each session begins with a discussion between the therapist and the patient before moving on to the treatment.
The patient then lies down on the massage table and lets the therapist work. Once the protocol has been completed, a further exchange takes place between the two people before the end of the session.
How long does a session last?
On average, a session lasts one hour for a Cellular Bioenergetic Osteopathy protocol or a support session, and between one and one-and-a-half hours for a Body Therapy session.
How is it different from a massage?
A "traditional" massage is carried out by the masseur with the aim of relaxing the patient and relieving superficial pain.
At Radices Corporis, the aim is to improve the patient's overall condition by getting to the root of the problems in order to free them and heal the person. This is why it is considered a therapy.
What are the benefits?
A feeling of tranquillity, relief, general well-being and renewed energy are the first benefits of treatment.
To these can be added an improvement in all aspects of 'general' pain (stress, anxiety, insomnia, poor quality of sleep, low vitality, falls, road accidents, emotional and affective shocks, etc), osteoarticular pain (neck pain, lumbago, back pain, herniated discs, sciatica, cruralgia, cervical brachial neuralgia, etc), digestive problems (constipation, diarrhoea, gas, slow or difficult digestion, etc), osteoarthritis and joint pain, cranial problems (headaches, migraines, vertigo, recent tinnitus, temporal-mandibular joint blockages, eye strain, loosening of teeth, consequences of braces, etc.), uro-gynaecological problems (painful menstruation, amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea, chronic cystitis, frequent urination, sexual problems, etc), sports problems (sprains, ligament tensions, muscle tears, joint blockages, blocked ribs, etc), psychological problems (PTSD, depression, etc).
Finally, Cellular Bioenergetic Osteopathy is particularly suitable for children and for providing relief for infants: a difficult pregnancy or birth (complications, stress experienced by the mother, emergency caesarean section, long labour, spatulas, suction cups, forceps).
In babies: crying for no apparent reason, nervous and physical tension, waking up at night, sucking problems (baby pulling hard on the nipple, or baby falling asleep quickly at the breast (less than 5 minutes)).
In children: instability at school and temperamental problems, nervousness, aggression, loss of concentration, consequences of braces, etc.
Where can I receive treatment?
Carrer de Pelai, 12 – 08001 Barcelona, Al lado de Plaça Catalunya con cita previa
How long do I have to wait before making another appointment?
In the case of Cellular Bioenergetic Osteopathy, I recommend, except in exceptional cases, a second visit three weeks after the first, then a third within six months, depending on the patient's wishes. If the patient wishes to do more, because they feel the need, a new appointment can be added at their discretion.
Support and body therapy depend on the individual case. As each person is different, some will see benefits by coming back every week, every fortnight, every month, or two or three times a year, depending on the person's needs.
I'm taking medication or undergoing treatment. Can I have a session?
Absolutely! No medication or other therapy prevents you from receiving a Radices Corporis treatment.
What can I expect after the session?
In rare cases it is possible to experience aches and pains, slight discomfort or headaches after the session due to the energy that starts to circulate in the body again. These effects are temporary and are accompanied by an improvement in morale, mood, renewed energy, a state of tranquillity, relief and general well-being.
How much is a session?
A session costs 60€.
