Accompaniment

Accompaniment is a service offered to people who feel the need to start working on themselves but don't know which direction to take. People who feel that "something's not right", that they're "stuck", but are unable to identify and deal with this feeling or its origin.

Sometimes what's needed most is a sympathetic ear and compassion, a listening ear, advice, someone to share with, rather than any particular care. This kind of support could be likened to "coaching", but it doesn't fall into that category, because the aim here is to support the person, as the name suggests, without trying to impose rules or exercises to transform their life.

At no point is the therapist considered as "knowing more" or "knowing better" than the consultant, but as a person who is also continuing along his or her own path by providing help.

Accompanying someone means not being in front of them, or behind them,

or in their place.

That's why each session can be completely different. Sometimes it may consist of a conversation between the therapist and patient, other times it may involve a protocol for releasing the pericardium (see Cellular Bioenergetic Osteopathy) or a massage (see Body Therapy), or even a mixture of meditation and light physical activity.

Each session is adapted to the person's needs at the precise moment of the session, according to what both people feel and see is best at that moment.

If the need arises, the consultant may be referred to another specialist, such as a psychologist or other practitioner of a method that is thought to be more suited to the person's needs.
